In the late 1800s

Gold was discovered in the Klondike – and lots of it! Just minutes from Wild Adventure Yukon, the infamous Chilkoot Pass and Lake Bennett have their historical roots in the gold industry. The White Pass Railway was built to carry equipment, supplies, and miners and the rail ends right here in Carcross.

Now relive the past with the Klondike Gold Experience as our experienced guide will recount the history of the Chilkoot Trail and Klondike Gold Rush as they help to show you proper panning techniques.

This informative and interesting Klondike tour will send you home with not only a better understanding of the Alaskan Gold Rush, but some real gold as well! We use raw ore from an active mine in the Yukon and all of our guests go home with a smile on their face and some gold to remember the day.

Caution: No protection against gold fever in place.
